Located on a small rock island in the north channel of Georgian Bay
(solid rock) the top of the Centrex just clears the floor joists. Works
great - easy maintenance - no problems to date. Hemp makes a difference
and no odor.

Location: Installed at cottage in Pointe au Baril, ON

Larry Oldfield was faced with the stark choice of altering the
natural landscape of his lovely Island property, or putting in a
Sun-Mar. Not surprisingly, Larry chose a Centrex model which he
installed himself. His unit is used by "up to 10 people on weekends,
and by 4 people during the week in the months of July and August". Larry has no doubt that he made the right decision. As he says, "the
performance of the Centrex is excellent, it works even better than I
had expected". We're delighted that Larry "highly recommends the
product".

Location is at family cottage on Clytie Bay of Shoal Lake, west of
Kenora, Ontario. Being retired, the unit is used about four days per
week plus our son's family of four on weekends plus vacation time. The
men usually take the stroll to the "old outhouse". We are very
satisfied.

Model: Centrex (Current Equivilent Centrex 1000)
Location: Installed in cottage in West Hawk Lake, MB

The picture of our cottage at West Hawk Lake, Manitoba is taken from
the boat at the end of our dock. As you see our property is steep and
close to the water.
For those reasons as well as the fact that the property is only boat
accessible your product was a perfect solution. (You can also see why
visiting youngsters call it the "tree house").
A low volume flush cottage toilet is used in the bathroom. I was
able to maintain a straight drop into the central, unit this helps with
winter use. Because I have not yet finished my bathroom you can see the
vent pipe in the wall cavity. The pictures of your product show it mounted under the floor joists
of the cottage. I chose to hang it from a platform simply because I
have a great deal of height under the cottage.
You can see I set it on a piece of foam insulation in case I would
later have to enclose the unit to maintain warmth. This however has
never been necessary.
The picture of the white sign in my bathroom is my way of
maintaining a properly functioning unit even when first time guests
arrive. The yellow sign (poem) was written by the parents of our best
friends (two doors down) who were visiting shortly after we both
installed your products (ed. note - click on the pic below to bring up
a readable version of their poem).
(The writers names are John & Pat Gray, from Wpg.).
The only problem I ever had is youngsters resting their foot on the
pedal and overdoing it with the water. After this happens it only takes
a few days for the system to get back to normal compost. | |

Location: Installed in cottage in Gatineau Hills, QC

Letter from Jim Sine, 2000:
"Also enclosed is a photo housing our unique installation. There was
insufficient space underneath our seasonal cottage, so the unit is
installed approximately 15 feet from the bathroom which is the window
directly behind the Centrex house. You can see the vent pipe on the
left side of the unit housing - exiting parallel to the ground to a
nearby tree whence it then rises vertically about 20 feet and is
virtually invisible!!
Although installed in December of 1998, the unit was not operated
until May 1999 when water was connected once again. We are extremely
happy and proud of our composting unit - it was a far superior
alternative to a septic field which would have cleared an area 40' by
60' of all trees and required four feet of gravel. Thanks to our Centrex we have maintained the marvelous beauty of our summer retreat in the Gatineau Hills."
